WHO IS RUSS NUGENT
I was raised in Ladner South Delta and come from 4 generations of Ladner farmers on my mother’s side. My Great Grandfather Harry Mitchell settled the Ladner family farm in the mid 1800’s in an area north of Ladner and the Massey tunnel close to Deas Island Park. On my step fathers side are three generations of fishermen and his family waterfront property on River Road West, Ladner, in South Delta was settled by my Grandfather over 100 years ago.

I
graduated from Ladner High School in South Delta, in 1964 and joined
the Royal Bank in the fall of that year. During my time with them, I
took finance, economics, sales and business courses so that I could
advance through their management training system. After 19 years of
great experiences from accounting, to management positions I wanted a
change and left them in 1982.
That spring
I bought a commercial fish boat from a family friend, and fished
salmon, herring and halibut. I got involved in the politics of the
industry. Obviously I was doing something right! The Federal Government
appointed me to the Fraser Panel section of the Pacific Salmon
Commission representing Canada, negotiating fishing rights and
strategies with the USA.
With the
industry in turmoil and the financial out look bleak, I decided that I
wanted to return to a professional career. In 1991 I took the Real
Estate Course by correspondence, allowing me to continue fishing and
passed the final exam with 92%! I was proud of myself! I started with
Realty World a teaching company in 1992. When I was confident in my
ability, I joined RE/MAX.
In February
1995 I joined RE/MAX PROGROUP covering South Delta Ladner and
Tsawwassen. RE/MAX stands alone in giving clients the awareness that the
company does have “Above the Crowd” agents in ethics, professional
quality and pride in their ability. I have received all of the Re/Max
awards, Presidents Club, Executive Club and 100% Club, Hall of Fame and
Platinum Club!
They relate to my achieving high standards in business and sales volumes.
I live in
Ladner, South Delta, and Ladner has been my home for over 60 years. I
support the South Delta, Ladner & Tsawwassen Minor/Junior Hockey,
Lacrosse and Baseball teams. I am a member of various hunting
organizations and support fund raising efforts for wildlife enhancement.
I also contribute to the Children’s Miracle Network! $20 of every sale I
make is given to the Vancouver Children’s Hospital.
I LOVE my
business, and I empathize with you and help you get through all the
turmoil, stress, and emotion, that accompanies the selling and buying of
a home. The majority of my business is from repeat clients and
referrals, which speaks for itself. My clients are like my family, and
